Metamorphosis is a graphical work about re-composition of a very specific space, which is the ballroom in School of Art Institute of Chicago. The animated black and white patterns are based on the grid of ballroom’s dance floor. Metamorphosis is an audiovisual installation, which builds a progressive structure of patterns, made up of 3 parts lasting 3 minutes in total. The piece plays on the idea of re-composition, repetition and flicker.
